I was very well aware that I am at a point in life that what i decide to do today will decide the course of rest of all the years to come. Hence, I decided to talk about my failures instead of hiding inside a shell with it. Yes, for that robust woman in me as well as for anyone facing the same issue of ‘low self esteem’ I had to do it. I immediately took to Instagram , to express fearlessly about my own limitations and failures without any façade. It was during one such ranting when UNESCO ICM sent me a message saying , ” We would like to hear your inspirational story of martial arts and publish you on our website newsletter. ” This was it! I could not believe that a failure like me, as called by society could inspire ?
My hands shiver as I write it down here with a tight feeling in my throat. I used to watch innumerable motivational videos of UPSC toppers and TED talks as well as listen to teachers in search of an answer that what happens to people who fail even after writing the exam with their maximum capacity and integrity. What happens to UPSC aspirants who do not end up passing the exam and have spent the prime time of their age in waiting for a day when all will be fine ? But to my disappointment every talk ended with , “Keep giving the exam you shall pass it for sure in one of the 6 attempts only if you do not give up.” Well I gave my all and still failed after 6 attempts and 7 years of being inside a single room with no social life what so ever.
I finally got my answer. To all the people who dared to take the leap and gave government exams and still failed in the end, Firstly ,just know you are already way ahead than each one of them around you and you will realize this yourself slowly with time. Secondly , If you have worked on any ambition with all your integrity and strength rest assured that one day suddenly you will experience a moment that will be all yours. Yes, I mean what I say. JUST keep believing in your skill and ability. You are not a failure untill you don’t accept this lie. If you do this , someday something will work out so well without your sacrifice and struggle and you will be happy, really happy and content . To such an extent that you will thank God for not making the Plan A work at all .
Your life will now take a turn that even you could not imagine for yourself or felt worthy of. It might sound like a rare chance but I assure you, If you have wanted something with all your heart and it does not come to you still it is because you are underestimating yourself and universe will shift you towards your right award for being strong and hopeful all this while. . And that is the power of never giving up! cheers to being ढीठ !
